A new organization seeks to consummate a marriage between religious and political fundamentalism; it protests earnestly that only such a union can save the United States. Its name is Christian Citizen Inc., and its avowed purpose is to enlist and train enough volunteer Christians in enough of the nation's precincts to assure that Christians will increasingly influence politics and governmental action at all levels. But scratch a Christian Citizen and one uncovers a rightist conservative, with the ancient goal of seeking personal ends by proclaiming that they are God's will. Christian Citizen may be spreading its arms to embrace all professing Christians.
