Not long ago a family planning center in Cleveland was burned to the ground after militant African Americans had labeled its activities, African American genocide. More recently, the anti-poverty board of Pittsburgh became the first in the nation to vote down OEO appropriations to continue Planned, Parenthood clinics in six of the city's eight poverty neighborhoods. The move resulted from intense pressure, and threats of violence by African Americans, who have kept the genocide issue boiling since one of the clinics was threatened with fire bombing.
