In this article, the author focuses on historical trends of arts by reviewing contemporary cultures and works in museum and art fields, specially for the Tunisian national museum. This museum reportedly occupies several French sculptures and collections such as, Punic remains, Arabo-Muslem ceramics, Roman sculpture, a celebrated shipment of Hellenistic marbles and bronzes recovered from a sunken galley. It was supposed that the art came here from Antioch and Alexandria, arriving at the end of the first century of our epoch, and continuing to flourish through the fourth. The oldest of the mosaics have mythological subjects.
