This article focuses on the cases and causes of cheating habits among cadets of the U.S. Air Force Academy. It reports the information of investigation, to determine, the causes, performed by Academy officials. These information are based on interviews of several past and present faculty members and other material assembled since the biggest cheating scandal in U.S. college history occurred at the Academy 1965. These information point to shortcomings in the academic program of the newest service academy as the broad and basic cause of this dishonesty. It signaled out two aspects of the academic program as having produced an atmosphere conducive to cheating: first, teaching by the numbers and second, to create an image of scholarly achievement.
