More than sixty psychiatric aides and other serfs of the Kansas mental hospital system, kept control for nearly twelve hours of the state mental hospitals as their way of protesting the failure to provide proper patient care and meet their union's demands. Instead of withholding their labor by going on strike, workers put on a "Hospital Improvement Action" under the slogan "We Care." Kansas Health Workers have taken over scientific as well as moral leadership of the badly needed mental health reform movement.
