This article presents information on a pre-election survey in Ohio on those contests which are of more than local interest and which are likely to affect national policy either immediately or in 1964. No one is confidently predicting the outcome of the gubernatorial race between incumbent Democrat Michael Di'Salle and Republican challenger James Rhodes, although observers were saying a year ago that DiSalle didn't have a chance. They were remembering the 1959 legislative session and the 1960 election. Last fall Di'Salle announced that he would not seek re-election, but reconsidered after requests poured in.
