This article discusses about the inadequate health facilities provided to aged people of the U.S. Not in years has Congress been subjected to so much pressure as is being currently applied for and against health insurance for the aged. The pressure arises from the failure of the social security arrangements to furnish adequate health care for the people who need it most -the people over sixty-five. The aged, moreover, have less money to meet their greater need. Private health insurance doesn't meet the problem. Most insurance companies simply will not insure persons sixty-five or over; those that do charge premiums of $7 to $10 monthly, which most older persons cannot afford. So more than half of the aged have no private insurance coverage at all, and those who do have limited protection.
