This article reports the sixth constitutional convention of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), held in San Francisco, California, in 1965 aimed to discuss the founding's commitment for organizational gains and social progress. The AFL-CIO is a labor organization formed by merger of both AFL and CIO in 1955. In this sixth convention, first two days were dealt with the mobilization behind the policy of unconditional and uncritical support of the Administration's policies abroad. There was total preoccupation with the war in Vietnam, and the reverberations of the escalation overcame all other consequences. The president of AFL-CIO, George Meany have given four speeches, all of with were centralized at the U.S. President Lyndon Baines Johnson's administration.
