This article discusses various socio-cultural, political, religious, and industrial issues of the U.S. It describes that the Grand Old Party (GOP) is faced with two issues for 1966: first, the politician John Birch Society and second, the Vietnam war. The first one is the internal issue and the second one is the external issue. Another issue regarding peace and Protestantism in the U.S. after the war in Vietnam is discussed. This so-called "cold war" is supposed to be the ugliest in the U.S. cultural history. One news regarding hospitals is reported here. The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) reportedly has 2,000 crated hospitals stashed around the country. Arnold Dodge, head of the ODD's hospital system, had announced that $22 million and possibly as much as $50 million worth of drugs and supplies had gone bad and must be thrown away. Some of it had been useless for a long time.
