This article focuses on the general constitutional right to marital privacy and the rediscovery of the ninth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. In the court case between Griswold v. Connecticut, the court's decision was clear and simple that the Connecticut statute prohibiting the dissemination and use of birth-control information and devices is unconstitutional. The grounds on which the decision was reached were not so simple, the statute violates a right to marital privacy that is fundamental to the American civilization and their way of life. The Planned Parenthood League's birth-control clinic in New Haven can now legally disseminate birth-control information and devices. The citizens of Connecticut can now practice birth control in peace.
