The scientific revolution has finally come to the high schools, and we are almost inundated by it. A representative sampling of its fruits can be seen in the book "Physics," compiled by the Physical Science Study Committee; three volumes compiled by the Biological Sciences Curriculum Study; and two volumes on chemistry: "Chemical Systems," compiled by the Chemical Bond Approach group and the book "Chemistry: An Experimental Science," by Chemical Education Materials Study group. These textbooks overwhelm anyone who still remembers what he was taught in high school or, for that matter, in college science.
