This article describes the political and social conditions of Haiti and the attitude of the U.S. towards it. Latin America is in deep need of reforms. Not just a new tax structure or an improved federal agency, but much more is required. In the case of Haiti, however, the need for basic change is desperate. The situation there has almost reached the point where the Haitian masses will no longer be able to satisfy the voracity of the so-called "elites" (blacks as well as mulattoes) that have been exploiting the country since Independence Day in January, 1804. If something is not done now to curb the arrogance of the ruling classes and support those who favor change in "Pendal Haiti," the country will explode in a scene of terrible violence.
