In this article, the author discusses the consumers' behavior and some psychological disbelieves regarding regulatory bills for canned peaches markets in Washington, D.C. He reports that the average consumer in this country is so bathed in therapy from morning to night that our emotional health must he unparalleled, if intensification of treatment is any test. But the ban imposed on these food items and resulting inflated sales has psychologically hurt the manufacturer and the consumer both. The same thing was going on Snake oils were being sold to cure anything from summer catarrh to women's complaint, a hundred years ago. It was figured that the supermarket peaches were probably fairly good and the co-operative peaches were probably poor. The solution that repaired the damage to co-operation was simply a label description that read "magnificent, Class A" or "gorgeous" peaches.
