This article discusses various psychological factors, beliefs and doubts in the socio-political, cultural and economic perspectives in Egypt. It describes that Egypt is on the verge of bankruptcy and its people suffer from a tremendous inferiority complex. Throughout their history they have put up with more conquerors, more misgovernment and more oppression than almost any other people. Even today, while the ordinary Egyptian talks a good fight, actual violence is rare. Egyptians are even more suspicious of outsiders who arrive to help, unless they come on terms set by the Egyptians and under conditions whereby the Egyptians can claim the accomplishments.
