This article presents a brief description of the current session of the United Nations' General Assembly, by the editor of the journal "The Nation." The editor reports that this session was held to discuss international relations, specially for the Middle East region and Russia with the U.S. The annual debate of the General Assembly has in recent sessions provided a forum for the enunciation of the latest U.S. conditions for ending the war. The sense of urgency has disappeared in both Washington, D.C. and Moscow with the stabilization of the cease-fire lines in the North East and the consequent waning of the danger of a forced military confrontation between the two major powers.
