The article states that Pennsylvania, like most states, has a death penalty. But in Pennsylvania, as in most states, no one has been executed for decades. In civilized America there is really only one capital crime, exasperating a policeman. The Philadelphia police confirmed that rule last May when they bombed a row house in a quite black-neighborhood. Sixty-one houses were destroyed in the fire. At least eleven people were killed. Six of the identifiable victims were adult members of a local primitivist group called MOVE. Police say they had no choice.
