The article presents information on development in the field of music in the U.S. Heavy metal is the raw, guitar-driven sound of such million-selling music groups as Motley Crue and Twisted Sister. It is a style whose masturbatory guitar technique and violent sexual imagery seem to excite the adolescents of the U.S. Despite its rejection by the official custodians of this form, metal is the music kids turn to when they are feeling rebellious, when they are in the mood for something violent and sexist and nasty.
