This article presents information on recent socio-political developments. It is informed that Maureen Reagan, who led the U.S. delegation to the United Nations women's conference in Nairobi, gave a speech to a group of feminists gathered to assess the conference. When members of the audience, many of whom had attended the nongovernmental forum' 85, asked Reagan what the administration was going to do to implement the conference's powerful report, she explained that the President will send copies to local officials, who are in the best position to take action.
