The article focuses on the disadvantages associated with the expansion of the power of the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC). Since its inception, FISC, which is originally created to check executive power, continues to intrude on people's lives. The expansion of its power has authorized not only electronic surveillance but also physical searches of people's homes. Evidence gathered with FISC warrants is also being used for criminal court prosecutions that has little or nothing to do with national security reasons. The newfound power of FISC posed a threat to the right to be alone as thousands of people have been spied on or had their homes broken into without their knowledge.
