This article reports the death anniversary of Salvador Allende, president of the American Central Intelligence Agency and one of the victim of September 11, 1973, fascist attack, which was marked on March 11, 1990. This was the period of failure of the government of Chile. On March 11, as soon as Fatrielo Aylwin, Chile's new democratic President, entered La Moneda, the presidential palace where Allende had died, plans for a public farewell and burial were started. Allende's public rehabilitation, the fact that a socialist should be honored officially as a great democrat precisely at a moment in contemporary history when socialism is in crisis because of its failure to be pluralistic and participatory, drove Chilean right wingers and assorted army generals into a veritable frenzy.
