The article presents information on three books titled "Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant," "Memoirs of General W.T. Sherman" and "The Civil War: An Illustrated History," by Geoffy C. Wad, with Ric Bum and Ken Burns. It also discusses the film "The Civil War," by Ken Burns, produced by Ken Burns and Ric Burns and written by Geoffrey C. Ward, Ric Burns and Ken Burns. According to the author, the film titled "The Civil War," is a failure is in its interpretation of the thick, wonderful mass of material presented in the book titled "The Civil War: An Illustrated History." Trying to follow the complex track of conflict and compromise leading to the war, the narrative loses its way and overlooks slaveholders' grip on the national government of the U.S.
