The article highlights the increasing number of labor unions that deal with healthcare issues. When the factory workers of General Electric in Lynn, Massachusetts held a rally, people started asking if there would be other strike over healthcare. Those workers were able to prevent the company's drive for further givebacks. In the U.S. unionized sector, industrial strife about health insurance has increased since 2001. The way labor unions respond to healthcare issues help in molding the future of healthcare reform. The actions of organized labor will also benefit the employees without union.
