In this article, the author considers the strategy used by the U.S. to invade Iraq. According to the author, the continuous street fighting in the country led Paul Bremer, U.S. administrator in Iraq, to order the soldiers to combine military raids against suspected supporter of Saddam Hussein with relief projects for Iraqi civilians. The author combined it with the kind of abusive marriage where the husband shows up at the hospital with flowers for his wife after beating her. An Iraqi school director, said the author, commented that the school construction itself was conducted like an invasion.
