In this article, the author cites three things that would help the Democratic Republic of Congo to recover from the tragic events that happened in the country. The civil war in the country resulted to the death of more than 3 million people, which made it the greatest bloodshed since the end of World War II. The author attributes the violence to the bad combination of the wealth of county and the lack of a functioning central government. The author agrees that the deployment of United Nations peacekeeping force to Congo is the first step to return peace in the country. The author revealed that there are international agreements that could cut the funding for the warlords who dominate Congo.
